A two day creative workshop with myself and Rasa - working on location in the beautiful city of Vilnius.
Rasa was my student for some years and her progress developed because she invested in training in order to develop her already creative eye. I believe teaching is not about creating a clone of what I do, rather liberating a students skills - giving them tools to implement the ideas they have for their work.
Above all, you will be invited to reach into your creative self to take away new ideas and the confidence to use these within your business.
It is particularly relevant in todays digital world to show your clients that your skills are untouchable, that your photography is out of reach of the most sophisticated camera, or phone. This involves having the the knowledge of how to implement your ideas using light, the environment, connection and the ability to make something out of ordinary situations which we are often faced with in the real world of running a photographic business. It’s about stripping things back to the bare soul of a portrait and enjoying simplicity and the challenge of making something beautiful from the minimum. The group will be kept small in order for us to work together and to maximise your time with myself and Rasa, enabling us to give each student individual time.
We will spend time in not always the most obvious of locations, but selecting some of the more ordinary backdrops, using fundamentals of lighting, composting and storytelling. You will be encouraged to implement ideas and hopefully overcome some of those nagging areas which are maybe preventing you from moving forward.
This workshop includes some 1:1 critique and tutoring.
